Privacy policy — Craft Switcher

How Craft Switcher handles account, payment and support information.

Last updated: 2026-10-15

What we collect

Craft Switcher processes the name, email address and credentials you provide when creating an account. If Google sign-in is enabled and you choose it, we receive the profile details needed to create your account. Passwords are stored as hashes, not readable text.

We store order references, the payment provider, amount, currency and payment or refund status. Stripe or PayPal handles payment details in its own checkout. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Account sessions, request metadata such as IP address, and daily download counters help us secure access and prevent abuse. Support requests contain the messages and contact details you choose to send. We may record referral and campaign information when you arrive through a tagged link.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate accounts, process purchases, provide downloads and updates, handle refunds and support, and protect the service. The applicable legal basis depends on your location and may include providing the service you request, legitimate security interests, legal obligations or consent where required.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts the site, database and private download storage. Stripe and PayPal process payments when enabled. Google provides optional sign-in when configured. An email service may deliver account or order messages when configured. These providers process data according to their own policies and may operate outside your country.

We do not sell your personal information. With your cookie consent, Google Analytics 4 measures visits to our public pages, including page views, approximate location, device and browser information, and referring website. We remove URL query strings and fragments from the page addresses we send, and do not send account details, payment details or support messages. Account, checkout and admin pages are excluded. Advertising features and automatic form tracking are disabled. Google processes this information under its privacy policy.

Cookies and retention

Essential cookies keep you signed in and retain your preferences. Referral cookies may retain first-visit attribution for up to 30 days. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits; their configured expiry is one year and may renew when you visit. You can reject analytics or change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Account and order data are retained while needed to provide access, resolve disputes or satisfy applicable recordkeeping obligations. Support and security records are kept only as long as needed for their purpose.

Your choices

You can update your profile from your account. To request access, correction or deletion of personal information, open an account support ticket and identify the request. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required by law. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights or the right to contact a data protection authority.
